Fix 0x0000009F Stop Error Message After Resuming From Hibernation In Windows 7 And Windows Server 2008 R2

Microsoft has announced availability of a hotfix for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 based computers. According to them, a PC with 1394a Host Controller and two external ports when connected to two external 1394a (FireWire) hard disks may throw out 0x0000009F error message when resumed from hibernation.

The exact error message shown when PC enters hibernation and then resumes from hibernation is:

0x0000009F (parameter1, parameter2 , parameter3 , parameter4 )
DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

The Parameter values in the error message differs with configuration of the computer.

Microsoft Support Center says that the issue occurs because of a generation count mismatch between SBP2PORT driver and 1394OHCI driver.
