How to launch Apps from the Desktop in Windows 8
The usual way to launch apps in Windows 8 is by using the app screen. But there is a way to even launch apps from the desktop mode too. You can actually add the shortcut of all the apps on the desktop. It’s fairly an easy job.
STEP 1: Right-click on the desktop and select “Shortcut”.
STEP 2: Enter Explorer Shell:AppsFolder in the location area, and click “Next”.
STEP 3: Give a name to the shortcut, for example “My Apps”. Click “Finish”.
STEP 4: Now Windows creates the shortcut on the desktop.
STEP 6: Double-click on the shortcut to see and launch the Apps. Note that you will see all the Apps here including the desktop apps too.
