Mount ISO files in Windows 8 [New in Windows 8]

Gone are the days when you have to install a separate software to mount and open an ISO image. Windows 8 has built-in feature that lets you mount and explore an ISO file. If you are new to ISO image, an ISO image is an archive file that is usually a software installer loaded in a CD/DVD disc. Software distributed on bootable discs is often available for download in ISO image format, for instance almost all Linux operating systems.

In Windows 8, right-click on the ISO image that you have and select “Mount”.
