How to show all Folders and Libraries in Windows 8 Explorer

Windows Vista and Windows 7 used to show all folders and libraries in the Explorer view with the default settings. In Windows 8, the default settings is set to hide the libraries in the left pane of the Explorer view, to keep a simplistic navigation pane. You can however change this setting to display libraries and all folders.

Launch Explorer using the Windows Key + E or what ever way you are comfortable.

Click “View” tab followed by “Options” icon.

In the “Folder Options” dialog box, check the boxes “Show all folders” and “Show libraries”.

Click OK. You can now immediately see the libraries and folders in the Navigation Pane of the Explorer.
