Fix Explorer.exe High CPU Usage Problem While Opening A Folder Containing Corrupted .wav Files In Windows 7

Sometimes when you open a folder having corrupted .wav files on a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 PC, your PC may become sluggish and impossible to operate. Slowly PC freezes. This is because of explorer.exe process utilizing 100% of CPU memory. The problem is also seen while opening corrupted .wav files using Windows Media Player. WMP stops responding and it’s wmplayer.exe process generates high CPU usage.

This issue has been reported by Microsoft and they have released an update to fix this issue.
