Windows + P is the key used for extending the screen to multiple monitors. This happens only while using default Windows 7 desktop and wallpaper.

This problem has been identified by Microsoft support team (KB2013905). The problem is found in the Windows 7 OS and they are working to fix this by releasing an update.  As of now, the solution to this problem is to to select any background other than the “Windows 7” Default background.  Switching back to the “Windows7” Aero Theme background, may cause this behavior to reappear. We will let you know once Microsoft releases an permanent fix to this issue.
