Quick Tip: Download Windows Maps for Offline use in Windows 10

Recently, the Windows Maps was updated with a slew of new features including the exploration of places in 3D, Street View, better traffic or aerial views, powerful search function, and ability to add favorites. If you are new to this app, you can grab it for free from Windows Store. Make sure it is from Microsoft Corporation. When Windows 10 launches on July 29, there is something more you can do with the Maps – ability to download it for offline use.

Download Maps for Offline Use

When you download maps to your computer, you can use that map even when offline. This is a great feature especially useful if you own a Windows Tablet for portable use. Simply download the maps you need and take them with you.

From the Taskbar, click on Action Center icon and click on All settings.

Then go to Offline Maps > Download maps

Download the maps that you need based on your geographical location or the location which you are visiting and you need not worry about internet connection anymore.
