Trick To Set Up Ad Hoc Wi-Fi Network In Windows 7 Starter Edition
As every one knows there are several restrictions that Microsoft enforces on Windows 7 Starter Edition. Most of the limitations on this free OS shipped with Netbooks in some markets are placed to encourage users to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate versions. One of the networking restrictions in Windows 7 Starter Edition is that you cannot create or be part of an ad-hoc network (computer-to-computer network). Ad hoc Wireless networks are temporary network connections that are used for sharing files and folders, presentations or an Internet connection amongst multiple computers or for playing multi-player games using Wi-Fi.
According to Rafel Rivera of WithinWindows, Windows 7 Starter Edition hides Ad hoc Wi-Fi networking feature, but allows it’s use. Though the short cut to the ad hoc network set up wizard is missing in the Control Panel, a small trick will let Windows 7 Starter Edition users use Ad-hoc networking on their PC.
Click on Windows 7 Start Menu, type adhoc or ad-hoc in the search box and hit Enter. The Set Up an Ad Hoc Network wizard now pops up. You can go ahead and set up your adhoc network and enjoy wireless connectivity on your Windows 7 Starter Edition.

Enjoy Ad-hoc Wi-Fi on Windows 7 Starter Edition till Microsoft discovers this loophole and patches it with a hotfix or a service pack.
