A problem has been identified in Japanese version of Windows 7. According to Microsoft KB977620, you may receive error message in the following scenario:
- You have a computer that is running the Japanese version of Windows 7.
- This computer has a single core processor.
- You install the Japanese version of 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 2 (SP2).
- You set Microsoft Office Input Method Editor (IME) 2007 as the default input method.
- You run the Msinfo32.exe tool to open the System Information window.
In this situation, you may receive an error message in the details pane of the System Information window. The translation of the error message in English is as follows:
Cannot collect the system information – Access denied to the Windows Management Instrumentation service on this computer. Contact your system administrator to change your permission settings.
