Download Updates to Improve Stability and Reliability of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
Continuing the efforts to make Windows 7 better and better, Microsoft has released a bunch of updates which makes Windows 7 more stable and reliable. The updates are the improvements and bug fixes developed from the “Error reporting” service available in Windows. When something goes wrong in any computer, Windows gathers the error details from that system and upon users consensus, the Error Report is sent to Microsoft Customer Service.
As per Microsoft Knowledge base article KB977074, this update package fixes the following problems:
- Keyboard function keys or shortcuts like mute, calculator issues.
- The notification icon moved or disappears when executable is running.
- The computer may not go to sleep after the screen saver starts. Black screen is displayed and causes the operating system to stop responding.
