Windows 10 automatically shows the desktop background image on the login screen. Note that I am talking about the sign-in screen and not the lock screen which slides to top when you wake up Windows. Though it is good from uniformity point of view where you get a smooth transition from login screen to the desktop, it is not everybody’s taste to show off the desktop background in the login screen.
But it takes under a minute to turn this setting off and hide the background image. Let’s get started.
1. Click “Action Center” icon on the taskbar, and then click on “All Settings”.
2. Click “Personalization”.
3. Click “Lock Screen” in the left pane.
4. Turn off “Show Windows background picture on the sign-in screen”.
Windows 10 will now show a solid color in the sign-in screen. That’s it, very simple one!
