How to add My Computer, Network, Control Panel, Recycle Bin on Windows 10 Desktop

If you use My Computer, Network, and Control Panel a lot, you may want to have a shortcut of them on the desktop, instead of going through the explorer or start menu. Also they come very handy for all-time tablet mode users. Here is a quick tip on how to bring back My Computer, Network, Control Panel, and Recycle Bin shortcut icons on to desktop.

Click ‘Action Center’ icon on taskbar and go to ‘All Settings’.

Click ‘Personalization’.

In the left pane, click ‘Themes’, and then in the right pane, click ‘Desktop icon settings’ located in ‘Related Settings’.

Check the boxes of the icons which you want on the desktop. You will have Computer, User’s Files, Network, Recycle Bin, and Control Panel.

Click OK and you are done.
