Many times you want to know a file or folder’s path. In Windows XP, you will have to open the folder  and then copy it’s path from Windows Explorer Address Bar. However in Windows 7 as well as it’s predecessor Windows Vista, there is a hidden right click context menu for copying file and folder paths to the Clipboard. The trick is to keep pressing the SHIFT key when you right click on a file or a folder in Windows 7 and Windows Vista. You will be able to find Copy as Path command in the right click context menu. Selecting this command will copy the entire path of the file or folder to the clipboard which can later be pasted as text. Note that the copied string contains the file/folder path inside quotes.
