MP3Val is a free utility for validating and fixing corrupted MP3 files. If you have a lot of incompletely downloaded or corrupted MPEG files which has playback problems in a MP3 player, this tool is a must for you. The software is standalone and hence doesn’t need installation.
The program checks for file integrity and fixes the damaged segments. Though primarily meant for MPEG audio file type MPEG 1 Layer III (mp3), it also supports other MPEG versions and layers. The portable tool can also recognize common types of tags (ID3v1, ID3v2, APEv2).
