How To Add Missing “Connect To” Shortcut In Start Menu Of Windows 7
People upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7 may miss many features and probably might have trouble in finding them. We have already shown youhow to add “Run” command to start menu. Now we will show you how to add “Connect To” link to Start menu. This item existed in Windows XP by default and it lets you see list of available networks.
Microsoft has linked this shortcut from Start menu in Windows 7. But you can add it by following few simple steps:
1. Right-click on Start button and select “Properties”.
2. In the “Taskbar and Start Menu Properties” dialog box, click “Start Menu” tab.
3. Click “Customize…” button.

4. In the “Customize Start Menu” dialog box, check the item “Connect To”.

5. Click “OK”.
6. Click “OK” in the “Taskbar and Start Menu Properties” to save the changes you made.
You are done. “Connect To..” short cut will now be listed in the Start Menu.
