A nice improvement seen in Windows 7 is the ability to find recommended drivers for your PC. Windows 7 can automatically search for missing drivers over the internet including top OEM drivers. By default Windows will only search for Driver updates only from Windows Updates. However you can configure it to search across all available locations. To configure your Windows 7 to automatically download recommended Drivers and it’s Icons, follow these steps:
1. Click “Start”.
2. Type “Device Manager” in the programs search box and hit Enter.
3. Right-click on your computer item and click on item “Device installation settings”.
4. In the Device Installation Settings dialog box, enable the radio button “Yes, do this automatically (recommended) option.
