How To Install Fonts In Windows 7

Web and Graphics Designers are always in search for new stylish fonts. And there are plenty of download sites for free fonts. In order to install these fonts in your Windows 7 PC, follow these steps:

Windows 7 automatically recognizes Fonts (.ttf True Type Font) and gives a “Install” button when you double-click the font. You need to just hit it to get it installed.

Other method of installing the fonts is to open the fonts from Control Panel.

1. Click “Start”, type “Fonts” in the program search box and hit enter.

2. Drag and drop the Font file into the Fonts dialog box.

3. Windows 7 will now install the font. After installation, you can check it in the list.

    I have a collection of Futura fonts (.PFM) from an older laptop running Windows Vista that I want to install on my new laptop running Windows 7, however Windows 7 does not appear to recognize the .PFM fonts. Can you help?
