How To Add/Remove Desktop Gadgets In Windows 7

Guys who upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 directly will see a new feature called “Gadgets”. These are little utility programs that gives quick information and provide easy access to frequently used tools. You can add tools like picture slide-show, clock, CPU and Memory utilization, RSS headlines, etc right on desktop. These look beautiful and also are handy sometimes.

To Add Gadgets on to your Windows 7 desktop:

1. Right-click in empty area of desktop and click “Gadgets”.

2. In the Gadgets interface, you can see various items including Calendar, Clock, CPU Meter, Currency Converter, Feed Headlines, Slide Show, Windows Media Player etc.

3. Double-click on your desired gadget to install it right away on to your desktop. You can organize gadgets by just dragging it and placing it anywhere on the desktop.

4. And if those default gadgets are not enough, you can anytime download and install more gadgets free from Microsoft.

To remove a added gadget, hover the mouse over it and click on close button.
