Are you used to desktop icons such as “My Computer”, “My Network Places”, and “My Documents”  on your Windows XP desktop? If you have switched to Windows 7, you will not see any of these icons on desktop except “Recycle Bin”. This is done to keep desktop clean and uncluttered. These can be launched using Start Menu. However, if you are used to these icons and can’t get away without these on desktop, you can bring them back in Windows 7 too.

1. Right-click on empty area of desktop and click “Personalize”.
