How To Customize Date And Time Format Displayed In Taskbar Of Windows 7

By default settings, Windows 7 shows both Time and Date in Taskbar. The Time is shown in Hour:Minute: AM/PM format and Date is displayed in M:DD:YYYY format. Below is the snapshot of the same.

You can customize both date and time displays in various formats.

1. Click on the Date and Time display area.

2. Now click on “Change date and time settings…” link.

3. In the “Date and Time” dialog box, click on ”Change date and time…” button.

4. In the “Date and Time Settings” dialog box, click on link “Change calendar settings”.

5. In the “Date” tab of “Customize Format” dialog box, click on the drop down arrow in “Date formats” section and select an option from many available formats. For example we selected dd-MM-yy format.

Customize_Format6. Click “Apply” button to immediately see the change.

7. Now in order to customize Time Format, click on “Time” tab. Change “Short time” and “Long time” formats using the drop down arrow.

8. Click “Apply” and then “OK” to all open dialog boxes to save the changes.
