How To Change Color Of Window Borders, Start menu And Taskbar
Recently we explained how to enable or disable transparency in Window Borders, Start menu and Taskbar. Now it’s turn to change the color of them. Windows 7 gives you an option to change colors of Windows, Start menu and Taskbar. There are plenty of color options to choose from.
Here is step-by-step guide to customize colors:
1. Right-click in empty area of desktop and click “Personalize”.

2. Click on “Window Color” as shown in screenshot below.

3. Choose from available preset colors. Click on the color palette to see a preview instantly. For example we selected “Ruby”. Click “Save Changes” button to apply the color settings..

4. And if presets colors are not enough, you can make your own color by clicking on “Show color mixer” drop down arrow. You are then presented with adjustable sliders for Hue, Saturation and Brightness.

5. Click on “Advanced appearance settings…” link to customize all aspects of menus and windows like 3D Objects, Title Bar, Border Padding, Icon Spacing, Message Box, Tool tip, Scroll bar etc. To customize all these click on drop down menu in “Item” as shown in below screen-shot.
