Get Hotfix To Update Daylight Saving Time (DST) For Asuncion, Fiji And Santiago For Windows

Microsoft has released hotfix to update Daylight Saving Time (DST) in Windows Operating System. This update is only to adjust Daylight Saving Time for the “(UTC-04:00) Asuncion”, “(UTC+12:00) Fiji” and “(UTC-04:00) Santiago” time zone. The updates are released due to DST changes announced by Paraguay, Fiji and Chile.

The Hotfix applies to Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2003. Note that this hotfix should be installed only to computers in the region affected by the DST changes.

This hotfix sets DST as follows:

  • Sets DST start date for Paraguay at first Saturday of October at 23:59:59.999 and DST end date at second Saturday of April at 23:59:59.999
  • Sets DST start date for Fiji at fourth Sunday of October 2010 at 02:00:00.000 and DST end date at last Sunday of March 2010 at 03:00:00.000
  • Sets DST end date for Chile at first Saturday of April, 2010 at 23:59:59.999
