Windows Mobility Center: Access Commonly Used Settings At One Place In Windows 7

If you are using Windows 7 on your laptop, you may like to check out a handy feature called “Windows Mobility Center”. Windows Mobility Center gives you quick access to commonly used settings for your laptop or notebook. It lets you access settings like Sound controls, Battery Status, Wireless Network Status, External Display settings, Presentation Settings, Sync Center etc. 

To use Windows Mobility Center, proceed with steps as follows:

1. Click “Start”, type “Windows Mobility Center” in the program search box and hit enter.

2. In the Windows Mobility Center interface, you can see all your most commonly used settings as shown in the screenshot below. These are especially helpful when you need to quickly adjust laptop settings in different places such as while traveling, giving presentations in meetings etc.

For example you can launch External Display options by clicking on “Connect Display”.  Similarly you can turn on presentation settings, Sync settings etc.

Apart from these settings, you can also see certain more settings like Display Brightness, Screen Orientation etc depending upon the hardware configuration and drivers installed in your system. If some certain settings are missing, it might be because the required hardware or drivers are missing.
