Fix STOP 0x0000003B Error In Windows 7 When Some IEEE 1394 Devices Are Plugged In
Microsoft has made a hotfix available for users facing problem of STOP 0x0000003B error message. The error message occurs when some IEEE 1394 devices (FireWire, i.LINK, and Lynx) are plugged-in to the ports in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 PC.

The error message seen is:
STOP 0x0000003B (Parameter1, Parameter2, Parameter3, Parameter4)
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
The Parameter values in the above error message differs with the configuration of the system.
According to Microsoft KBA979222 , this issue occurs because of an error in the Microsoft IEEE 1394 driver stack, in which the buffer that is allocated to the driver stack does not initialize correctly.
