Fix "Insert a new disk" Error Prompted Repeatedly While Using Backup And Restore Tool In Windows 7
Consider a scenario in which you want to back up your files or you want to create a system image on a recordable Blu-ray disc (BD-R) using the “Backup and Restore Tool” in Windows 7 or “Windows Server Backup Tool” in Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows asks you to insert a new disc.
You insert a new disc. Windows now writes the data to the disk. But the problem is this process never completes. Windows repeatedly asks to insert a new disc and writes the same content again! Which means, the backup operation is never completed. This is a known issue and a Hotfix has been released to fix this problem.
According to Microsoft, this problem occurs because of an error in the Udfs.sys system driver.
-Fixes Udfs.sys system file
This hotfix applies to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
