How To Change Wallpapers Automatically In Windows 7?

In earlier versions of Windows, including XP and Vista, if you wanted to change wallpapers every now and then automatically, then you would have to install and run a Wallpaper Changer software. Windows 7 has a built-in feature which lets you cycle through a set of desktop background images every few seconds, minutes or even hours.

1. Right-click on your desktop and select ‘Personalize’.

2. The ‘Personalization’ screen opens. Select ‘Desktop Background Slideshow’ which can be found beneath the list of available themes.

3. In the ‘Desktop Background’ screen which follows, select the location of your photos from the drop down menu or by browsing for the folder.

4. Once you select a folder containing pictures, all those images are displayed. You can either select all of them by clicking the ‘Select all’ button or select them one by one by clicking on the checkbox which is overlayed at the top right corner of each image.

5. In the ‘Picture position’ drop down menu, choose ‘Fill’, ‘Fit’, ‘Stretch’, ‘Tile’, or ‘Center’.

6. Under the ‘Change picture every’ section, you can select the desired frequency for your slideshow. Your desktop wallpaper will change after the specified number of minutes.

7. Select ‘Shuffle’ if you want the wallpaper to change randomly rather than in the selected order. Also select ‘When using battery power, pause the slide show to save power‘ if you are a laptop or a net book user.
